Q. Why does my vehicle need Evans Waterless Coolant?
A. Evans Waterless Coolants have a boiling point of over 180°C far greater than traditional coolants which boil at 100°C. Evans Waterless Coolant also removes the threat of corrosion, electrolysis, liner pitting, water pump cavitation, detonation and over heating.
Q. What is Evans Waterless Coolant made of?
A. Evans Waterless Coolant is a patented non-toxic liquid comprising of blended heat transfer fluids and a proprietary inhibitor package.
Q. Which Evans Waterless Coolant is correct for my car?
Vintage Cool 180° is specially formulated for increased yellow metals and the more porous cast metal parts found in Vintage engines.
Classic Cool 180° is specially formulated for engines with more cast steel and iron, with reduced levels of copper and the introduction of aluminum products.
Power Cool 180° is specially formulated for high performance engines.
Q. Will Evans Waterless Coolant cause my engine to run at a higher temperature?
A. No. The operating temperature of the coolant may increase slightly, however the temperature inside the engine will be more consistent.
Q. Can I add water to Evans Waterless Coolant?
A. Yes, but only in an emergency. Evans Waterless Coolant is completely miscible with Water, however once you exceed 5% the benefits of Evans Waterless Coolant are compromised. We recommend that as soon as possible you refill with Evans Waterless Coolant to regain its benefits.
Q. Which engine coolants are water-based?
A. All commercially available engine coolants, (usually in a 50/50 water / coolant formulation).Evans Waterless Coolant is the only non water-based coolant.
Q. What is the most important operational feature of Evans Waterless Coolant?
A.The huge separation between the operating temperature and the boiling point of the coolant, in the order of at least 80°C.
